Replace Command | Linux Shell | Replace all within File –!


Most of the times we need to replace or correct the mistakes like spelling mistakes in the entire file or files and most of the users are still handling such tasks manually and it takes time. So you can easily correct things using the below command from the shell, fire the below if you want to replace word xxx with abc, you are suppose to use the exact name at the position of file name:

#replace “xxx” “abc” – – File Name
